I have 2 children ages (almost 2 and 6 months) and am seriously considering looking after 2 or more children in my home instead of going back to work in the fall as the daycare my kids would go to is $90/day ($45 per child) and realistically we would be losing money each month if I went back to work...YIKES!!
Is anyone familiar with the rules, process, rates, etc. in Canada (BC)??
I have done abit of googling so far but there is so much info out there I thought someone here may be able to tell me straight up. I have found that if you look after 2 + your own children you don't have to be licensed but anything over 2 you do....is that correct?? Is it really necessary to be licensed or would you get in trouble somehow if caught?? If not licensed do you still have to claim the income on your taxes and provide receipts to the parent(s)??
There are so many things to consider and I would love any input anyone is willing to give me.
Thank you so much!!
