I want to get CPR certified so that it will satisfy any potential job requirements in the future. I'm not sure which organization is accepted universally so I'm wondering. I've heard of Red Cross and American Heart Association.
Both of those are great choices! I know that a lot of the community colleges where I live offer these types of courses and cover everything from Newborn all the way up - they generally include the heimlich manuever etc. in their classes as well. It's super informative and the classes held in my area are given by EMT's generally as well as other instructors. Good luck!
Yes, both of those are good choices and both are accepted pretty much everywhere. Just be aware that you must renew your certification periodically as well. If I remember right, in my area it runs between $60 and $100 depending on the class and organization doing it.
