I have seen some of your posts saying you are looking for ways to advertise and thought I would give you some ideas.
If you have a website start writing articles for reprint. Write articles related to your business. In other words, if you sell toys write article on developmental toys or fun projects for kids, if you sell cosmetics write articles on beauty tips, etc. Submit these to free content sites like family-content.com. Websites are always looking for free content for their sites. Be sure to include a bio with a link back to your site.
If you post on forums put it in your signature. Of course, you will need to follow site guidelines. We charge a fee for moms in business to have a link in their sig here at JM. Its not a lot though.
See if someone will do an email signature exchange with you. You promote their business in your email and they promote yours in theirs.
Contact some of the smaller websites and see if they would be willing to barter with you. Maybe you could offer them your products/services at cost in exchange for advertising or something like that. Its worth a shot. What have you got to lose.
Find some of the other wahm sites and do filler swaps.
I wanted to add that banner ads are not the best form of advertising. Big Leaderboard size ads or the media rich ads perform a lot better. And simple text links perform better than banner ads on a lot of sites.
Have you thought about doing google ads? You can set your budget as low as five cents a click. You could always give it a shot and see how it does. Its not a big investment.
I am going to try to think of some more ideas for you. Glad to have you on the board and best of luck with your business.
And, I'm currently looking for articles (written by moms) - so if anyone out there has anything that they've written and want to see on one of my sites (I have 5 sites that they could end up on.) -- Just post them here and I'll check them out.
