When your parents come to drop off or pick up your kids can they just walk right in or do they have to knock.

Are parnets can walk in at anytime as long as it is during business hours.

My door is always open but I find that most of the time they knock but it sure would be easier if they would just come in so I don't have to stop doing whatever I am using doing when they arrive.

I lock my door- but there are big open windows, so they can see in anyways, unless its nap time. I have to lock the door, other wise the kids would be able to get out.

My kids never try to get out, but I lock the doors to keep them safe. My town isn't crime ridden but I like to be prepared. Usually I see parents coming and can unlock the door. Otherwise, they can ring the door bell and none have had a problem doing so.

my 2.5 yr old always tries to open the door, so I have to be super careful!

We are knock and walk... most will give a short knock and walk in. I told them that if their child is in the house then they can walk in at any time to see what they are up to... Of course if one of the children was an escape artist and liked to get out, then I would lock the doors, but that is not the case here... They all knock when dropping the kids off though...

All my parents just walk in. I only lock the door once every child has arrived which is around 9:00 am and then will unlock it around 5:00 when I expect the first parent to pick up.

I think its a respect issue. When I arrive at work I ring the door bell because it is a home first, even though the daycare as consumed her home. When I open my own, I will keep the door unlocked, but would like a knock first so I know your coming in the door.

I'm not open yet but will be mid September. Parents can just walk in. I have an alarm system in my house and everytime the door opens its chimes twice. If I get a child that likes to open the door/try to go out then i'll lock it. :-)
