Hi girls. My name is Andrea. My husband is in he military so we really don't get paid a lot. We have a 17 month old and one more on the way. I used to babysit 3 kids and get some money every month for it. We have been doing fine bc of that. I stopped watching kids this week. Now being pregnant my level of patience is not very high and I was getting too stressed out every day.
I really need to do something to make money though, or my husband is going to have to get a second job and he already works A LOT of hours (from 5:00am to 6:30pm). He says he has no problem getting another job so I can relax, but we'll never see him if he does.
My question is what can I do from home to make some extra cash? I would need to make like $500 a month to be ok. I really want to find something.
Thank's in advance for any suggestions!
-Andrea

PS: We both go to school full time online so we are working on getting our degrees and making our stuation better, but we need something for now!

You sound pretty stressed out to me. I suppose the first thing to ask yourself is why you need $500/mo. Is it to cover the basics (food, rent), to cover old debts (credit cards, car loans), or is it to live more "comfortably?" (eating out, shopping) You should also stop by the frugal mommies board and the financial planning board to get some pointers on cutting back and paying off debts.

Now... about finding a source of income... what skills do you have? What types of jobs have you had in the past? What are you majoring in? Is there anything you WON'T do (selling, talking on the phone, running errands, etc.) Do you have any special talents? (Like making crafts or teaching piano lessons)

I need about $500 a month to cover basics. We almost never eat out or buy anything unnecessary. We don't have a lot of debt besides our car, but DH's pay is just not enough to pay everything...
Sorry that I sound stressed out.. I am. I just hate worrying about money.
I have worked in retail stores, but it's been while. I haven't worked for the last 3 years. I am bilingual, and I'm getting a degree in business/advertising. I am open to doing anything. I'm not crafty or think I can teach any lessons though..
Thank you for trying to help; I really apreciate it

I was just wondering if you pay anything towards your school. You might have to take a leave of absence to be able to decrease money going out. If you are bilingual, sometimes there are interpreter jobs that you can do at the courts and stuff. Also, if you dh has to get a 2nd job to cover it would be hard but you would be able to take care of the kids. Once the kids are in school you can always have him stop and you can get a part time.

Also, maybe by then the car will be paid off and you'll have some extra money to where he doesn't have to do the 2nd job. Is there anyways he can talk to any of his supervisors about money? I know that the military usually wants you guys to be taken care of especially when you have kids.
