In response to another post, I just went to the Small Business Administration (www.sba.gov) They have tons of info on starting your own business... starting with "are you ready?"

Try them-- it looks like a lot of really helpful info!!

Here are a few others i have found in my search for info too:

score.com- Free email counceling for small business start up

allbusiness.com- involves legal matters

tipsfortop.com- gives ideas for marketing your online business

Also look up "small business development center" for your state. I live in michigan and the one for my state has a WEALTH of information, interactive guides, business plan templates, ect. Its been a huge help.

Not only does the online SBA have great info, but your local chapter is a goldmine as well. They have counsellors who will meet with you to talk about your ideas and to help you use local resources.

All the best,
Nicole
