Sally has a bunch of phlegm in her throat now. I noticed it when we started giving her water in the sippy cup a few weeks ago, and I'm wondering if she's just swallowing weirdly or something. Is this a normal baby thing, or do I need to call the doctor? I hate taking her there when nothing is really wrong, or if they can't do anything anyway. Any thoughts?

That'll be an interesting sound effect for Yoda today! Could be that she's playing with her voice or with the water in her throat, could be drainage from a cold, or it could be congestion that needs to be looked at. Is she only doing it when she drinks the water? If it's all the time, then I'd take her in.

Yeah, we went in today. Too bad I forgot the Yoda hat. Anyway, the pedi thinks its either her reflux acting up again or else she has a virus but is barely sick (no other symptoms). She said that if it's a virus that bfing was probably responsible for her not being very sick, so yay! Seeing as I feel like I've got some crud in my lungs too, plus congestion, I'm guessing that's what it is.

I'm in the same boat as you are Sara. Everyone here is sick with that crap in their lungs, except DD (knock on wood). All I have to say is Yea for BFing! I'm glad you got it figured out.

Hope you feel better soon, Laura! DH is getting it here now, and he's the biggest baby of all.

I can totally relate there, Sara. DH had it the worst of all of us, though. He got it first, and it looks like he will be the last to get over it. Thank goodness DD didn't get it, and I didn't get it too bad since there isn't really anything either one of us can do about it (since I'm BFing and she is too little).

We've been dealing with a bit of a bug here too. I actually hadn't noticed Jonah was teething because DH was so sick I assumed DS had a slight version of it & viola - he is all better with 2 new teeth...so I guess it wasn't that after all.....but he was runny & congested before that.

Hope EVERYONE is feeling much better - I hate this early Fall garbage that seems to go around.
