On Friday, the 9th, Theo surprised me at 11am. His leadership had sent him home after hearing about my doc appt on Thurs. They told him to help me get that baby out, and then come back to training.
I went for a long walk around noon, DTD with Theo, had a nap and woke up because the contrax were so strong, 2 mins apart. Around 3:30 pm, I told Theo we needed to go to the hospital. We dropped the boys off at his parents place and went to the hospital.
When we got there, I was dilated to a full 2 cm (I was 1-2 cm on Thurs at my appt). They sent me to walk around the hospital to see if I would dilate anymore. They checked me again at 7:30 pm, and I was 3 cm, but my contrax had slowed down and they didn't think I would dilate anymore, so I was sent home. They said to come back if the contrax started up again.
We got home about 9 pm, ate dinner, DTD again (got to get as much in now before he leaves LOL), and went to bed. I woke up again with awful contrax and told Theo we had better haul butt to the hospital. My friend Crystal came over to be here with the boys, and we left.
When I got to the hospital I was 4 cm, and admitted. I got an epidural at 10am, and it was GREAT. It finally worked!
They started pitocin around noon, and I labored without much discomfort. At 3:30 I started pushing, and in 3 sets of 3 pushes, Natalya Marilyn Cherie was born at 3:34 pm. No tearing or episiotomy needed!
She weighed 5 lbs 8 oz and was 18" long. She is perfectly perfect in every way! I'm so in love with her.
I guess she just decided it was time to meet Daddy.
It couldn't have been any better.
Malikye is great already, and just wants to hold and cuddle her. Kyan isn't really sure what is going on, but has been great so far.
Here are a few pics. I can't believe she is here, and I am now a Mommy to 3!
I already posted on another thread about the delivery (SO HAPPY FOR YOU!), but I meant to ask if it was a natural labor... it sounds like you didn't have time for an epidural, but maybe you were planning a natural labor anyway! You were a real trooper with the pain... you go girl!
I did end up getting the epidural because I had already had labor pains for 12 hours before. IT WORKED!!! It was absolutely GREAT! I love the doc that did it. She kept up with the meds and came back once an hour to check on me to make sure it was working.
