I want to write this before I forget any details...
Thuraday April 12th - 6 days over due, induction scheduled for 7:30 a.m.
4:30 a.m. - I get up for a pee but I feel 3 big gushes of water. So I go to the washroom and my underwear are soaked... OMG, my water broke!!!
5:00 a.m. - I call the hospital and they tell me that since I'm not having strong contractions to get ready, have breakfast and make our way to the hospital. I then wake my mom up to let her know... she will be with Nicole in the morning.
6:30 a.m. - At the hospital, I get admited and all that jazz...
8:00 a.m. - Dr. Liske is late but checks me... I AM 3 CM DIALATED ! She then proceeds to brake my water fully (i had sprung a leak!). I start having real contractions but can handle it. Jason and I call our families to inform them of the good news... everyone starts making arrangements to be at the hospital.
8:30 a.m. - The nurse starts the pitocine to get the contractions stronger... OUCH!
11:30 a.m. - Contractions are getting worse but I can still breath through them... my nurse informs me that the epi lady will be leaving at 12:00 and if I wanted one to get it pronto! I decide not to try and be a hero this time and get the epi. She had a hard time though... my back is out of allignment so she had to poke me several times to get in it place... I was in so much pain having contractions at the same time but once it was in and working -HEAVEN-!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
12:00 p.m. - I am checked and dialated to 5CM !!! Family is informed this will most likely go quick!
1:00 p.m. - My mom shows up and laughs at my weakness (she had 4 drug free labors ). I am comfy and able to enjoy though!
2:00 p.m. - I am feeling tons of uncomfortable pressure so I am checked and BOOM 8CM ! Nurse is thinking baby will be here between 3 and 4! Jason's mom shows up along with my best friend from College.
Not too long after I am fully dialated ... BUT baby is still up high ... I am topped of and left to rest until baby decends the birth canal.
4:00 p.m. - TONS of pressure... I am in pain down below... baby is there but facing side ways as opposed to down . I am put on my side with one leg up (real attractive look ) in the hopes that gravity will help baby turn the right way... I am given oxygene and we wait and let nature takes it course...
I'm not sure at what time but it is time to push! I am told baby is big so it will be more difficult... and BOY was it ever!!! The pressure was overwhelming and I actually had a few moments where I thought I could NOT do it !
5:15 ish - Dr. Liske is suited up... I give a few BIG pushed and at 5:27 out comes my chunky monkey ! I cried and laughed and couldn't wait to see her! She is placed on my tummy and I am in Heaven once again ! She is later put on the scale and I can't beleive the numbers keep going up! I saw 9 lbs 15 oz but was then corrected that is was 9 lbs 1.5 oz - phew !
Wow! Thanks for sharing. Sounds like everything went really well!!! Love the photo of you guys. Congrats again on your new little sweetie!!!
After looking at your pic again I thought I should edit my post to say that you have such a cute dimple when you smile!

The world today is upside down because there is so very little love in the home, and in family life. We have no time for each other. Everybody is in such a terrible rush, and so anxious…and in the home begins the disruption of the peace of the world. -Mother Teresa~
I just wanted to add that I forgot a few important details...
