On April 9th I went in to start my induction at 7am. The midwife had to do a delivery so she never got in there to start the cervidil until 9 am. Once she did that it took a while for the contractions to start, last time they started right away. When she did she said I was now 2 cm dilated. So I just sat around and watched TV for hours until the contractions started happening. Around 4 (I think) she checked me and I had not changed at all. The contractions were getting strong so I asked for some pain meds and they gave me a shot, I canít remember the name of it. It didnít do anything but make me really sleepy, so I dozed for the minute or two between the contractions then felt them full force.
At about 8 pm is when they stated to get really really strong. Then my water broke around 8:30-9:00pm, from here on the times get really really fuzzy due to the pain. The contractions got even stronger, I canít believe how strong they got. I keep asking for the epi, but she said I had to be atleast 4 cm to get one. She had me on my hands and knees to try to get her into a better position and also taking a shower to try and get some relief. So I just kept getting contractions about 3 min apart until about 1:30am, they finally checked me and I was 5 cm. So they called the guy to do the epi, but by the time he got up there I got the feeling that I had to push. They checked me again and I was 10 cm. I went from 5-10 in less than 20 min. So I never ended up getting epi, I was upset at the time about that, but It really was not their fault. I just ended up progressing really quickly at the end like last time. So after 10 min of pushing Miss Makayla was here.
She was born at 2:01am, weighed 7lbs 1 oz and 20 inches.
I canít even describe how happy I am now, our family is finally complete.

The world today is upside down because there is so very little love in the home, and in family life. We have no time for each other. Everybody is in such a terrible rush, and so anxiousÖand in the home begins the disruption of the peace of the world. -Mother Teresa~
