On Friday morning I woke up and was feeling bad,so I decided not to go to work that day. My husband was going to leave for work and I told him not to. An hour later we left for the hospital. Contractions started at 5 min apart and were steady. We had a 40 minute drive to get to the hospital. I went in the room and the nurse said I was 4 cm. I got an IV injection for pain pretty quick. Not much happened till my dr stopped by on her way to a wedding and broke my water. Things progressed quick after that. I got an epideral and got to 10 cm after my water broke in under an hour. The dr filling in came in the room and I started to push. 4 hours of none stop pushing later, after an epeasiatomy sp? Hunter was born at 753 pm. He was 9 lbs 3 oz and 21.5 inches long, with a 14 inch head circumfrance. I lost a lot of blood...a liter...so they kept me in the delivery room and stiched me up. They didnt want to move me till I recovered some, so we didnt get to our own room until after midnight. Nurses were in and out all night and day, with some visitors yesterday. He is perfect and healthy, so they discharged us this morning and we got home around 1 this afternoon.
Congratulations and Thanks for sharing your birth story. That was a LONG time to be pushing! Yikes. Glad it all turned out well and now you have your sweet baby boy in your arms! Blessings!

The world today is upside down because there is so very little love in the home, and in family life. We have no time for each other. Everybody is in such a terrible rush, and so anxious…and in the home begins the disruption of the peace of the world. -Mother Teresa~
