Things were a lot different then I thought they would be.
We arrived at the hospital at 5am on Oct 3, 2007. I was so happy tthat I asked - they let me wear my sports bra into the surgery! That really helped me feel more comfortable. They monitored her heart rate and my contractions - yep I was having contractions! I talked with many docs and answered a bazillion questions. It was after 730am when they finally moved me into the OR.
My anthestesiolgist (sp?) was super funny!! He was joking with me the entire time, which was great. I hated being so out of control over everything. I got a spinal block and that was not too pleasant getting but I managed. Being that numb and unable to move anything was the weirdest feeling ever! It was totally tripping me out but in a good way. Before I knew it, my doc had made the initial incision and had removed my old scar that was all messed up. Then hubby got there. The tugging and pulling was a weird feeling that is for sure.
Jordyn was delivered at 8:38am. She came out butt first, legs, arms, and then head. She had the cutest cry I have ever heard!! And she wasn't super crying but that was mostly due to them suctioning her so much I think. Hubby went over and watched the nurse do his things to Jordyn. They let him cut the cord shorter but we didnt get a pic of that Then he went with her to the nursery so they could get to the pediatrician and work on her breathing issues. I guess she was a little on the blue side for a little while. And it seemed like it took forever to put me back together. But we were all joking around with each other so that was good. It helped keep me calm and all that. My doc stiched me up a whole bunch on the inside and just used the staples to get the outer skin to close together. And I have a small cyst on my right ovary that we will have to monitor.
