Madison Alexis was born Sunday June 24, 2007 at 10:47 PM. It all started that I was supposed to have a scheduled C-section at 8AM on June 25, 2007.
Here is how the day lead up to the time she was born. Rayna had a dance recital in the morning at 11-2PM. We came home and got Rayna and JB ready to go to the IL's house because that is where they were going to spend the night being Jimmy and I had to be at the hospital at 6AM on Monday morning. Well I was on the computer eating a chicken marsala dinner when I told Jimmy that I started the feel lightheaded and crampy. So I got off the computer and I was going to go to bed early but as I got into bed my water broke. Well I got up and walked in the family room and told Jimmy that it was time. He was so funny. He didn't know what to do first. He called his mother and told her that we were going to the hospital. At this point she already had the kids. So she just came over to the house to calm her son down. Jimmy called the doctor while I took a quick shower. Then we left. We got to the hospital around 8:45PM and the doctor got there the same time so we walked in together. They asked me how I was because I was calm. I was having no contractions. We got upstairs and got registered, got hooked up the the monitors, and got asked a lot of questions. We finally got into the OR about 10:00. After getting the Epidural they started to operate. Well I saw my doctor and someone else either another doctor or a nurse standing on step stools. They were tugging a lot. Finally pulled her out and the first thing said was "Wow she has a lot of hair." I also got my tubes tied while on the table. I spent about 1 1/2-2 hours in recovery because I couldn't move. The Epidual lasted longer than usual. I also got sick the next day from the after effects of the epi. But everyone was amazed that I was up and walking around on Monday afternoon like nothing ever happened. Yeah it hurt but I was able to stand up straight and go to the bathroom. I was like that with the other 2 also.
So that is my birth story. I'm sorry I thought I posted one but I didn't.
Sounds like Madison had some plans of her own. I think it's funny that your water broke like 12 hours before you were scheduled. I'm glad you had a smooth delivery. I was really hurting after my C-Section. I was walking around on day 2, but only because they made me get up and use the bathroom and take a shower.
