SO. It's not really a sign. BUT, apparently she thinks it is. See, for the last few months, I've been clapping and saying "all done!" when she's done with her solid food, mostly to distract her from the fact that it's all gone. She smiles, looks at me like I'm an idiot, and crawls away. (We eat sitting on the living room floor - she's not fond of the high chair.) WELL, Tuesday night I was feeding her dinner, and she ate most of it but I could tell she was getting full. Not only that, but her 2yo cousin was buzzing around us, playing. Well, Caitie decided that food time was OVER. She looked at me, smiled and CLAPPED HER HANDS, and crawled away. I about peed myself laughing! Of ALL the gestures she could pick up on, she gets the one that ISN'T a sign! I've purposely been making more food than she'll eat since then, just so I can see her do it at each meal!
