I'm thinking of adding a subforum for the sign of the week. My thoughts were that the forum would include topics covering activities that allow you to practice the sign of the week with your child. For example, if the sign of the week is "eat" then there will be a thread with a picture and description of the sign "eat" much like what we post now. Then there will be other threads with activity suggestions for incorporating the sign. Like a thread for books about food and eating, that you could do the sign while you read the book, and maybe a thread about dramatic play- you could play kitchen and incorporate the sign. We would keep all of the threads there, so that if you aren't working on a sign or if your child just isn't there yet, you can go back and use these ideas when your child is ready.

I've been trying to think of ways to make our sign of the week more useful for everyone. I haven't been updating it because I've been trying to figure this out. I don't want to waste my time to post something that the majority of this board can't use. I'm really trying to get this board going, and maybe something like this would be more relevant for everyone because instead of just a random sign that you might not use with your child, it will be more helpful with how to introduce the sign through play as well as every day situations.

Sound good?
