Caoimhe has turned into a little 13-month-old chatterbox ... now if you could only understand baby talk. Hanging on Caoimhe's every word will encourage even more communication. Learn more about baby talk here, plus read about making the weaning process easier and that dreaded bedtime bottle.

First words
Although your little one has been able to understand words for some time, she's now starting to speak them. Find out what your toddler is actually saying and how you can help her learn to talk.
This was in a newsletter I got today in my email. I had to laugh when I read it, because thanks to signing, I always know exactly what Caoimhe is saying!

Now that I know how wonderful signing is, I would never do it any other way. It makes me sad that so many people still don't know about its benefits or just choose not to sign with their babies (especially the ladies in my PR here on JM, I really feel like they are missing out on a wonderful experience!). It definitely makes life with a baby so much more fun and exciting.

haha, I was going to post something very similar!

I was in the checkout line at Target, and Jonah had been drinking his milk earlier but I'd put it back in the diaper bag. He started saying "mok mok mok" Now given this description it's pretty obvious what he was saying to me, but a lot was happening and it had been a while since he had his cup. So all my brain registered was babbling. But then I realized he was doing the sign for milk, too!

Lol that's so cute. Caoimhe can't say milk yet. She does the sign for milk and says "That!" lol.
