Jonah sorts apples. Well, kinda. LOL I got him a green basket and a red basket, an the idea is to show him how to put red apples in the red basket and green apples in the green basket. He's too little to do it himself really, he just puts them all in a basket and then dumps them back out, or he watches me sort them, but he's still processing information so that's okay
While he's looking at the apples and exploring them, I tell him about the apple, and use the sign a lot. "this is a green 'apple.' it's a smooth 'apple' too! This 'apple' is red. Do you like to smell the 'apple?" etc.
