Hey ladies. Have any of you used the signing time dvd's? I know someone that used them with her special needs child. (I feel in love with them and like that they actually use ASL signs.)
My question is where do you find them (other than online)? My sister wants to teach my niece sign language. And we were talking about getting her a dvd or two for Christmas. I can't seem to find them in a store though.
Thanks to Jaidynsmum for my siggy!

I love ours. I bought my baby boy Baby Signing Time and we've been watching it pretty regularly. It's helping me learn signs so that I can teach him as he gets older. We bought ours online though I got it from Amazon.com.
We borrowed copies of Signing Time from our library, too.
How old is your niece? Signing Time videos are fun and well-made (I enjoy watching them), but they're pretty fast paced and (just my opinion) not really made for babies. If she's under 2 years old I'd recommend the Baby Einstein 'My First Signs' video, and that one can be bought at Walmart. I would definitely recommend Signing Time for an older child though (2+).
My 6 mos old loves Baby Signing Time. We have watched them daily for a month now. Right now he fully understand when I sign milk and he will sign milk back sometimes. When does not sign milk back, he lays his body down in a nursing position or he cries out and reach for me if I am not near him.
The songs on the video are very catchy. DH and I walk around singing them. ahahah. Our copy was a gift but I do know they are at the library or you can buy them from the website directly.
