Hello, My name is Tiffany My Husband Bobby and I have two beautiful Daughters, Rayne is 3 years old (Born January 5, 2007) and Saige is 4 Months (Born September 30, 2009). I used Sign language with Rayne early on and it was a blessing. I intend to do the same with Saige, in fact I started signing with her right away. Mostly I've only been practicing with the sign for Milk, and I think she may already understand even though she can't imitate it just yet. When I sign it to her she gets excited and knows it is time to nurse. ASL has always been an interest of mine, I took a few years of it in high school... Although I don't remember much - lol.
With Rayne I altered many signs into our own personal signs that were easier for her to imitate. She learned about 25 signs by the time she was 15 months and from there I put more focus into verbal communication because she didn't actually take off with Talking until then. Her first sign was at about 10 months (I didn't start with her till much later) and she loved signing!
Hi! I'm Jess, and I have Jonah who is 18 months, and our little girl is on the way in the late spring! I'm so glad to hear about your experience with signing with Rayne, and that it has encouraged you to continue signing with Saige
I started signing to Jonah from the day he was born also! I think it helped a lot. Does Rayne help sign with Saige?

Hi ...I'm Monique a new mom of a 6 month old. I think my son recognized milk at 4 months as well. By his 5th month he was signing it. Not regularly but enough for me to know he definitely was doing it. Now at 6 months its obvious but still not consistent.
