Who did your child sign to first?

When your child signed for the first time, who was the sign directed to (who was your child trying to communicate to?) Who was the first one to recognize it???

If your child/children hasn't signed yet, who do you think he or she will sign to first?

Jonah didn't really sign to anyone at first. He just did it kind of as an acknowledgement that he was nursing.

DH noticed it first; I was distracted LOL

He signed to me.. I think I missed it when he first was doing it and then one day i noticed he kept clinching his fist and looking at my boobs.... DH likes to test if he is really signing and say milk to him or sign it and I have to tell him to stop because its not feeding time when he wants to play this game.

My DH does the same thing too! He tries to get Jonah to do the signs, just to see if he will. Jonah always looks so confused, or he'll get upset because he wants to eat now etc. DH's can be obnoxious sometimes, can't they? LOL

Largely Rebecca signs to me (DH is gone 10+ hours of the day!), but she'll try to utilize her signs with DH when he's home. He regularly comes asking "What does this one mean?!" She first signed milk to me, and then started signing it to DH as well so he would take her to me to nurse.

That's cool he catches on that she is trying to communicate to him.
