DH and I were in bible study and Bryce had pooped and the funk was killing me. I wanted to excuse myself and DH was not within my reach to whisper to him. So when I caught his eye, I signed 'change diaper'. This allowed me to communicate to him and not disrupt the speaker.
LOL I've done this with DH before. Especially now that I'm pregnant again and have to go to the bathroom quite a bit, if we're in a public place I'll just sign to him "potty." It's such a little motion that others don't really even notice it, and it sure does beat having to say out loud in a crowded space "I have to pee!" LOL
Or if he's way across the room and I need something for Jonah, I'll sign then also. I hate yelling or being loud, so the signs work well and get the point across without me screaming that I need something. We also used it to communicate down the halls in the daycare I worked at etc. It is very nice!

Thank You, Pattyandthemoos, for my beautiful siggy!
Ooooo I forgot about 'potty'. I will start using that one with DH too because we always go to the restroom before we eat to wash hands and it will be so much easier to sign it usually he waits for eye contact an mouth it.
Honu - it is exciting. I will be looking forward to hearing some updates from you.
