How long have you been signing with your child(ren)? Since birth... so almost 17 months...

Do you have any recent frustrations with signing? Not that I can think of...

Any joys/triumphs recently? Yep, and I already shared it in another thread, but anyway... we're getting 3-sign phrases out of her!!!!

About a month and a half. He tried to sign I love you to my Dh twice the other day. Dh was up and running around, so excited. I feel that as we have been traveling and not inour routine, I haven't been as active as I need to be. I need to keep signing even while we are busy.

We have been signing for almost a year. We started at 6 months. Nothing too frustrating, I just wish she wouldn't have stopped signing.

She is learning new ones quickly though. She repeats them for me and its cute

Do you have any recent frustrations with signing? I was frustrated until you ladies chimed in and told me its normal for them not to use a sign they know as they are learning new things. So I am no longer frustrated. I just keep signing it so he won't forget altogether.

Any joys/triumphs recently?[/QUOTE] I'm not sure if this is a sign related question but my answer is non sign related. He has become mobile...kind of. He crawls in a 1/2 split position on his butt. Well its more like a scoot. It slow but he gets to where he wants to go and it hilarious to watch.

Awesome work ladies!

How long have you been signing with your child(ren)?
19 months

He won't sign outside of the home, like at school or in speech therapy, even though he is exposed to a LOT of signing there- even more than at home even because all of his teachers an therapists also sign to him there. We're working on it though. He finally did sign "cracker" last week at school (he only goes for a couple hours on Mondays, as part of his therapy)

Any joys/triumphs recently? He spontaneously signed a two sign sentence yesterday! He would sign "more milk" and "more please" if I showed him first, but yesterday we were having soup and crackers for dinner and he signed "More Cracker" all on his own!
