It's been awhile since I posted on this board. I have been quite busy. Part of my being busy has been trying to improve my business site and design a new website for my former teacher. I want your opinions of how they look. My teacher already decided to use the site I designed for him, but it always nice to get another opinion.
wow I really like them. I only have one issue with the first one - the image in the top left seems a bit stretched, but maybe it is me. But other then that - wow I really like them. And for the second site - that is such a huge improvement. wowI love the nav and the rollovers - how did you do them? And also where did you learn flash? I find flash so confusing and complicating but I need to learn it cause I need to do 2 headers.
Again great work. I always love your stuff.
Thanks for the compliment I really appreciate it..
Your right about the photo at the top...I was trying to find some nice stock photos to add there that would find, but didn't have much luck...I still have some work to do on my business site actually...I am trying to see about adding a little more animation to the header using Flash...
For my former teacher's website I basically created them using CSS...I found a tutorial that was very helpful in creating it....For my website I used a program called "Sothink DHTML Menu"....It works great with Dreamweaver and gives you a lot of free to make changes...even has a lot of templates to choose from...I am not one to buy alot of software, but I love that program so much that I just had to.
I am not that great at Flash just yet...From work I know enough to go in an already created source file, make changes, save it and that's it...I have learned a couple things like creating slideshows, using the filters to make text glow and/or fade, add music to a page and a few others....When you actually start doing it, it really isn't as difficult as it seems...I think the stage, frames, and timeline stuff is what gets most...I know it did me...http://www.tutorialized.com/ is a great website for almost any kind of tutorials for Flash, Photoshop, Fireworks (which is also excellent when it comes to graphics and menus), and even CSS....
