Well, actually I had several questions regarding my first project... just gtky type questions... what services do you provide, do you have any specialties, etc. So I emailed my contact, who emailed the customer. He responded but only half answered the questions. So I thought I'd call him, now that I have his number, & see if I can't meet with him & talk to him more as well as get the pics he is providing of work he has done.
Having someone in the middle of things can really make it a bit difficult. Has your contact responded to you about the actual conversation?
Well, my moan is about spending the entire day today updating online forms for a client. It wasn't just adding them that made me frustrated. It was the fact that it was two forms, both with four pages and three of those pages had tons of yes/no type questions. These are online forms in PDF format which visitors can fill out and submit them online. I ended up adding almost 200 radio buttons to this form. Then to have errors you have to correct. And to top it off the darn client is like watch the computer and calling every hour to ask why are the forms doing something different. That was just annoying.
Sorry to laugh but I know how it can be, well sorta... I've been in SW development for years & it happened to me all the time! It IS quite annoying when it is happening though!
I emailed my contact who forwarded the email to the customer & copied me of course. Well, the customer emailed my contact back but didn't copy me so my contact forwarded his reply to me. So the customer did get my exact questions but only half answered them. Which is kinda normal though I figure... my contact says the hardest part about this is getting the info out of the customer!
