....how to remove the defualt purple around an image that is a link. Does any one know?

Also I seem to be having issues with links and the default purple. When I do the css and set the color and style I want for links it is fine. BUT when I click on the link, later that link is back to the default color and stays that way. Most of my websites, the default color does not match. Any clue why this happens? and how I can fix it?

This does not happen if the link is set inside a list and has other atributes (like background color and such) to it, but if it is just a lone link that is in the middle of content this is when it does it.

Help please.

Sometimes it is also set by the browser you are using...I can help you better if you can show me the code you are using and maybe an example of where the problem is...

for an image to get rid of the border:

HTML Code:
<img src=http://www.mysite.com/image.jpg border=0>
You need to add a "visited" attribution to your css to keep the link from turning purple once its been clicked.

Sorry i should have told you how to accomplish the visited effect:

A:visited {color: #22222}

#222222 being the hex color code.

Also i forgot to mention that the image border can be modified via css too. it would look something like:

<STYLE type="text/css">
a img {border: 0}
</STYLE>

You would use this if you wanted all images on your website to have no border. You could also do something like:

<STYLE type="text/css">
.noborder {border: 0}
</STYLE>

and apply a class of "noborder" to the images you want to have no border like so:

<a href=http://google.com><img src=image.jpg class=noborder></a>

and of course if you are using an external stylesheet, remove the <STYLE type="text/css"> and </STYLE>
