Hi, I'm Tiffany and I'm just starting my business called Tots in Tow, selling Mei Tai-style carriers and I am to the point where I am trying to get a website up and I'm totally stuck! I purchased a domain name from godaddy.com because I saw that someone posted that site on here. Now, I'm looking into designing my site and I'm at a loss. I read a tutorial and I'm still lost! I saw that they had an option to use WebSite Tonight for templates? I don't know anything about it and I don't want to sign a contract paying $4+/month and not know what I'm getting myself into. Do you know about this or anything other programs that could help me? Thank you so much!

Did you just purchase the domain or did you also get hosting? (You'll need hosting - I am not a huge fan of GoDaddy, I prefer JustHost)

Then, as far as creating the site, it depends on what you need. Are you just looking for an informational site? Are you going to want a blog incorporated? Are you going to want e-commerce/ a shop?

I build using Wordpress, which is a free framework. You can use it for all of those functions, although HOW you use it varies depending on what you want.

I got hosting as well, but it's free with the domain so I would be willing to get hosting somewhere else. As for what I need the site for, I need it for information and I also want people to be able to order my products from the site as well. I don't need a blog incorporated. I will check out Wordpress! Thank you so much! I will also check out other hosts! Thanks for your advice!

No problem! You may be able to use the free hosting, depends on what features it offers. You could use a theme like this WordPress › WP-Creativix Free WordPress Themes for Wordpress, then set up one of the pages as e-commerce. I use a plugin called Ecwid for my e-commerce on my graphic design site (link in siggy). If you want set-up for a template like that one and e-commerce, I can do that pretty inexpensively.
