This is something I am just getting into. At the moment I'm trying out different kinds of card to print thewm onto. What kind of card do you use? What thickness and finish have you found best?

I get my paper/ cards from this supplier: Clear Envelopes

If you are buying larger numbers, they have a sister site: ClearBags - Promote, Protect and Preserve

I get the premium Cougar cards, here's the info they have on them:
1. Features:
2. • Folding cards are Pre-Scored
3. • Raised "Panel" and plain stock available
4. • 98 brightness
5. • White & natural vellum finish
6. • FSC-certified
7. • SFI Fiber Sourcing certified
8. • 10% post-consumer recycled content
9. • 70 lb. and 60 lb. Text envelopes & 120 lb., 100 lb. and 65 lb. Cover folders
10. • Acid-free for archival quality

I've gotten good feedback and I like the quality a lot. Sometimes I also print right on plain cardstock and cut/ fold myself but usually not, for consistency of product.

That's some great info! Thanks for sharing! Did you try other suppliers before you settled upon this one?

Not really. I looked around a bit, but those are the best prices I've found and I've had great experiences with their customer service, so I stuck with it after the first order.

I love it when you strike lucky first off. I had a couple of not so happy experiences with suppliers of envelopes and then found a company called World of Envelopes which I was very happy with. I've used them a few times. They insist on sending me tons of emails about envelopes though and because they go to my personal email and not my work email I always think that's kind of funny!
