The church that hosted the mission trip. This is where we ate b'fast & dinner every day...
Speaking of food, at the church they had 2 different kinds of ketchup - mild & hot...
Thought that was a cool pic. Did you notice the mild ketchup has a tomato with wings & the hot ketchup has a tomato with horns?
Cars parked on the sidewalk outside the host church...
We'd start off at the host church then drive to the smaller church (about an hour away) to walk through the villages where the smaller church wanted to plant more churches. Here's the smaller church & the pastor & his wife...
Did you notice the guitar in the translator's hand? They are always playing & singing in their spare time. Romanians really enjoy singing & everyone I heard had a beautiful voice.
A puppy we fed outside the smaller church. Poor little thing, he/she was starving...
There are so many strays in Romania. It breaks my heart.
Sunday morning, going to church...
At church Austin started feeling bad. I never preayed so hard in my life - Please don't let him get sick in Romania. Praise the Lord he didn't! Twice he started feeling bad on the trip but both times the Lord took care of it. The Pastor's family made Austin a bed out of the pews so he could take a quick nap after church...
Our translators - Dan was Austin's translator & Iliza (on the left with her older sis Rebekah) was mine...
Austin really took up with another missionary, Jimmy. Here's a pic of Austin (wearing a hat that Jimmy gave him), Jimmy, & Joseph (Jimmy's translator, also a man Austin really took up with)...
Both translator's were great with Austin but Joseph & Austin were so cute since Austin was always sleeping on Joseph during what little down time we had...
Austin evangelizing a Romanian...
Playing soccer with some village children...
A sweet, sweet lady (on the right) from one of the villages. She's the only Christian in her village & strongly believes in her convictions...
The Priests in their black robes. I couldn't get a *good* pic...
The Orthodox Church...
This is their market, like our produce market here...
Here's some pics of the villages we visited...
a library...
a school...
the town hall...
the castle we visited on our last day...
Scenery pictures...
Coming home...
