This weekend we went camping in Ruidoso with a bunch of friends. The site was in the Lincoln National forest. It was amazing! There were deek and elk that would come down out of the forest in the morning to the clearing where we were camped. Dh got to go play golf at a really nice course. We went shopping at the shops in midtown. We went to the blues festival Saturday. Sunday morning we went hiking in the forest. The boys had a blast. It was an awesome trip.

Brantley loved stoking the fire. He thought his smoking poker stick looked like a train smokestack.
This was a pic of the boys out shopping.
This is a huge bouncy slide at the blues festival. Brantley had a blast. Jonathan did it once and he was done.
We found a creek for the boys to go explore. They threw rocks, leaned over to touch the snow melted water. Jonathan found a little place where the water flowed fast enough to carry pinecones down stream.
We were walking down a trail and found a really neat spot that looked like it was made just for rock climbing. Brantley said he could do it. We really thought he would go a few feet up and come back down. He went all the way to the top in no time at all. It was about a 70 degree incline. Dh had to go up after him to walk around to get back down to our trail. This pic really doesn't do it justice.
