Love Dare to dare you to love your spouse as Christ loves you, and watch Him transform our relationships!
What do you need to sign up?
It's simple- be married.
You don't even need to be a Christian. The love of God is a gift freely available to anyone.
You are also strongly encouraged to get a copy of the
Love Dare book. It's available almost everywhere. I've seen them at Wal-Mart, you an order one from Amazon, or Christianbooks.com pick it up from your local Christian bookstore.
The acting is corny at times, but if you haven't seen the movie Fireproof, consider going to your local Redbox and getting it. It will get you totally psyched to do this challenge!
When do we start?
We've set a start date of August 24th.
Does my husband have to participate?
You don't even have to tell him about it.
There are other programs you can complete with your spouse- the Fireproof Your Marriage Study in which both husband and wife participate. To do this with your spouse- you'll need the
Participant's Guide. It's an awesome study, but separate from this one- although they can be done concurrently.
How does this work?
Post your name, or send one of the hosts a PM expressing your interest in participating. We will be sending out passwords to the private forum, come on in and intro yourself if you feel moved to do so. Starting on August 24th, we will post that days dare and do the same each subsequent day. You are encouraged to ask questions, share disappointments, triumphs, blessings, struggles... anything else you think might be pertinent.
What happens in Love Dare stays in Love Dare
We're going to ask that each participant take a code of silence. What happens on the board, stays on the board- this is why the forum is being passworded.
Get the Word Out.
Tell other JM members. Participants need not be struggling in their marriages. Any married couple from newlywed, to blissfully happy, to teetering on the brink can benefit from this challenge. It is for every marriage. Link them to this post, or send them to Christian Parenting.
