Okay so during one of our classes this morning Austin started talking about last year when he was in 7th grade & in public school. He told me how his math teacher said last year that that year was the 1st year in a long time that one of the 7th grade girls HAD NOT gotten pg! I'm just speechless!

Around here thats really common, so your post wasn't surprising to me at all. I don't know whats worse, lol being surprised or not being surprised.

It IS sad though, nonetheless.

I was shocked at how many teen mommies there were at the football games. I guess I was naive in thinking it wasn't as bad as it really is.

Sadly we usually have a couple at my school too. It's hardest when they come into sixth grade already pregnant or sexually active.

Awesome they didn't abort.. but I just can't help to think of adoption. That poor girl wont be able to care for that baby on her own. She can't even legally work. I think it is best that the child be placed into a family that is ready for a baby.

Adoption is very dear to my heart, so it always pops into my mind. When I was in their shoes (I was 17 though).. I COULD have done it... but it was now how I wanted to raise my child. I wanted the best for her, so adoption was the best option. Sometimes, I just wish that people would look outside of their own feelings and think about the child's future, kwim?
