Destiny Renee was born via C-Section at 5:59pm on October 30th. She has jet black hair, hazel eyes, long fingers, straight toes (my sister and I have crooked toes), and dimples.

In the beginning, things were great. The night before she was to be released, they checked her bilirubin levels. They came back very high and she was put under the lights the next morning. In addition, my sister tested positive for Group B Strep. Even though Destiny was a c-section baby, the pediatrician felt that Destiny was at risk. In order for this to be tested, she was moved to the NICU for a spinal tap.

They did an EEG to check for seizures. It came back normal. This does not mean she is not having seizures, it just says that she did not have one during the test. Blood work was normal. Spinal tap results will come in tomorrow.

Destiny likes to keep things interesting. Today during a nap, she stopped breathing for 25 seconds. The nurses did not need to stimulate her breathing, but now they are worrying about that too. It'll be at least the end of the week before she's allowed to come home. Just found out they will be doing a CT scan soon.
