Hi, ladies! I am new to JM and finding that I would like to join this forum...seems a great fit for me!
I am from Ohio...my dh and I have been married forever, it seems (lol) and we have 4 children. We were saved at young ages, and are members of a free will baptist church. When we moved to Az, three years ago, we found a home missions free will baptist church starting in a school about 1 mile from where we live, and we have been there ever since!! Still meeting at the school, but we have purchased property and are in the process of building...
God is great! for sure-placing us this close to our new church, because we are surrounded by Mormons here, and it seems everyday I am having to defend my faith. Don't get me wrong, I have met some very nice people out here, and we love the weather!! I am looking forward to any advice y'all might have and experiences you can share-raising a christian family!!

Oh, my name is Angela, dh Chris, ds Collin(16), ds Christian (9) dd Maliya (7) and ds Cruz (4)
I love to sing, and sing mostly southern gospel...some contemporary christian.
My kids play sports and stay active. 3 are gymnasts, and my oldest boy plays the piano and guitar and wants to go to college for music education.

We have hosted a few bible studies/learning groups at our home since living out here-We've done Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace and the Truth Project (which I LOVED and want to host again soon!!)

Looks like I wrote a book, sorry!! lol...I am just so excited to have found this forum!!!

Welcome Angela and Greetings from Germany. I have a friend that lives in Arizona (Sierra Vista) and she just loves it there.
I am Kerstin, married to Daniel who is a soldier in the US-Army. We are currently stationed in Germany, only about 35 minutes away from my hometown. My husband has two adult sons from his first marriage and we're trying for a little one for quite a while now. We have two furry babies (dogs) who get lots of love.

Hi Angela! Welcome!

My husband was talking recently about looking into that Financial Peace study to do at our church. Tell me about the Truth Project. Right now our adult Bible study is doing a study based on RT Kendall's book "Total Forgiveness". It's definitely ... umm ... challenging. But in a good way!

Thank you for all the nice welcomes!!
Dawn, the Truth Project is awesome!! SOOO profound! I want to host it again, because there is just so much information. It's through Focus on the Family, and it is a 12 week (i think) course with video and discussion. It is for Christians and it is to explore why we believe what we believe. It also looks at the world's view of Christianity and God.

I reccomend if you get a chance to try it, do! Our church has done the Alpha Project, too, but I haven't had the time to do that one. I plan to soon, though!

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE pretty much anything from Focus on the Family. And that sounds so AWESOME!!! You know I did an AWESOME curriculum on Christian Worldview last year with Austin in homeschool & it was from a source that Focus on the Family highly recommended & I LOVED it. I can't wait to do the 12th grade version of this curriculum (Curriculum: High School - Understanding the Times - Summit Ministries). We did the 8th grade version last year (Curriculum: Middle School - Lightbearers - Summit Ministries).
