I have changed most all the lightbulbs in the house to the compact florescent. I know they cost more to start with but they save money in the long run.
When we bought a new washer and dryer we bought an energy efficient one. Again a little more up front but saves in the long run.
Just the other day I sealed up some cracks around the doors and windows for better heating during the winter.
During the winter time I open the drapes every morning on the sunny side of the house to let it warm up from the sun. It does really help on the heating bill.
I plan on putting more weather stripping around the seals of the door.
There is a great promotion at the grocery store I shop at that for every $100 you spend on food you get 10 cents off on shell gas. I LOVE getting cheep gas.
Those are just a few ways.
Going green really does save you money.

I also go to consignment shops for kids clothes and shoes. Sometimes you save alot of money on clothes that is brand new or looks new. All Jocelyn shoes come from Once upon a Child, lol.

I always look for deals in store for us, if it isn't on Clearance then mostly it wont be bought.

I never get anywhere with coupons. I have tried but just don't get into it. Most of the coupons are for things we don't use to begin with & the generic version is usually cheaper than the name brand even using the coupon. Well, that's at least waht I have found when I tried to do it.

I shop at the thrift store for clothes & buy mostly generics. The few name brand products & meat we buy I do look at sales papers & stock up when it is on sale.
