Day +43

Tomorrow is the big day. Tomorrow... we will once again be together as a family. Oh how sweet that sounds! To watch my kids all play together once again. To enjoy the sound of their laughter as they discover why a fan will blow a filled balloon across the room, or what happens when you crack an egg. It never sounded so sweet...

To sit and watch as Joey sleeps next to daddy in the middle of the night, or as he runs up to us with those big eyes asking for more please.

I have missed all of this... for over 7 weeks. Joey is a different child at home than he is here in the hospital. He has a different joy when home. And I miss those small things.

And finally it is going to happen. Tomorrow can't get here fast enough. The new med additions have been called in, his rash is turning dark instead of bright red. This is expected. Eventually it will peel. Eventually.

I'm just glad to see miracles happening. A little over a year ago we were told he had virtually no chance of survival. Today we can truly look to the future and completely believe it will be bright.

His PET scans are good, no histio. NO HISTIO!!! Sweeter words I can not imagine right now... they believe this transplant is a cure for him. As a mom, I have to believe that too.

Never lose faith, never give up, always keep fighting.

Chasing Dragonflies... Chasing HOPE.
