To keep things short, I will say brief story, lol.
DH has been working for a mechanic/tires shop for over 2 years now. They have cut his hours, overworked him 60+/week, suspended him a week without pay, they have said that he should quit if he didn't like his job anymore, and they have cursed him out millions of times.
DH has put up with it because he needs a job in this day and age to maintain his family. But he says he is sick of it and he can't take it anymore. He comes home really stressed and over worked. In the last 5 months, 4 managers have quit because the stress the regional manager gives everyone. They demand things to be done if not they suspend you from work a few days. Well the last manager quit now and DH has worked over 60+ this week already and he is tired. He wanted to take a Christmas vacation and they just told him, he isn't anymore because they need him to work since there is no one else besides the new manager which DH has to train to do everything.
They told him that he has to work everyday from 6 am to 7 pm at night. He drives an hour every day to work so he has to wake up at 4:30 am to leave at 5 am then comes home at 8pm to eat and pretty much sleep. He has only had one day off in the last two weeks which was yesterday. He barely spends time with family now.
So he just told me that he thinks that is quitting and his last day might be this Sat. Please pray that our family keeps afloat through this decision and that either one of us can find a job after Christmas.
