This past Sunday was our Christmas Contoda. I don't sing in the choir, but I really enjoyed listening to them.
I was just kind of ho-hum going into church that day and some of the songs really spoke to me and blessed me.

Thanks for posting this thread & the Monday Praises thread, Melissa!

My notes from Sunday...

Obedience: A Good Word
Psalm 119:97-104

God's command can make us wiser than our adversaries (Psalm 119:98). Why? "... for I obey" (Psalm 119:101).

There's no compromise (Psalm 119:102).

God is speaking to you every time you pick up His Word & read it.

Obedience is tied directly to understanding.

The Truth About Obedience:
  1. Obedience brings understanding (Psalm 119:27).
  2. Trust precedes obedience (Psalm 119:4, 129-130, 144).
  3. Passion for God precedes obedience (Psalm 119:145-148).
  4. Obedience brings blessing & abundant life (Psalm 119:1-2).
  5. Obedience is easier when we are in the company of other obedient servants (Psalm 119:79).
