Because the Pharisees were determined not to break God's command to rest on the Sabbath, they refused to eat any egg that had been laid on a Saturday morning, b/c the hen had broken the Sabbath in her efforts to lay it.

~ I started a new Bible study this monring & thought this was kinda interesting so I had to share.

Did they take the chickens out and stone them too for violating the sabbath? The would be hungry real soon if they did that.

My grandparents always went out for dinner on Sundays because Grandma said cooking dinner was work, therefore she refused. I then asked her why it was ok to make the waiters, waitresses, and cooks work on Sunday. lol You should have seen the look on her face
