I'm sorry I haven't been on much lately, I have been super busy with school, the daycare, homeschooling Addi, and trying to keep my house running. Addi is at the stage where she is trying to test our boundaries and push the limits-so we have been working hard to figure out a way to deal with that. I just read How to Make Your Child Mind Without Losing Yours and I am hoping we see some results soon.

Glad you're still here.
Sounds like you're really busy but doing some great things.
I've never read that book. It'll be interesting to hear how it works for you.

I think it must be a busy time of year for everyone! Even my PR is super slow, and usually it is hopping like the Energizer bunny.

Hope you found some things in the book that will help! I'd love to hear what specific things you are trying and how they work out.

Thanks for updating!

Good to see you around. How do you like the book? I have heard of it but don't know much about it.

I love the book. I like his whole stance on parenting and how we are not here to train our children but to guide them to be caring, understanding, and responsible adults. His approach is about giving understandable consequences to children when they misbehave. He isn't against spanking, but isn't all about spanking like some other methods. He believes it has a purpose, but is far too overused in our society.

I love how reminds us that the shepherds rod was used to guide the sheep, not to hit them with.

I'll type out some specific examples later, but it is definitely a book I recommend!
