This year my church is going through The Story and studying the Bible in chronological order. We are going through it on Sundays but they have also gotten together a lot of small groups to do studies throughout the week. I had gotten a card on Sunday to sign up for a small group and filled it out during the service. The whole time I was wondering if I really should join since I will be leaving in about 2 months anyway, so would it be worth it? When service was over I was walking out the door when I realized I left the card at my seat. I went back to get it but it wasn't anywhere to be found. I thought about going to the booth to fill out another one but didn't and just went and picked up Addi.
Well Wednesday when Addi was at Awana I was down stairs reading a book when the children's church leader came up to me and told me he saw that I was in his and his wifes small group. I must have given him a crazy look because he then said "Well at least I am pretty sure you are the only Meagan (last name) here and it was your email and phone number on the card." I told him how I had filled out a card but accidentally left it in my seat and couldn't find it when I went back. I never imagined someone had found it and turned it in for me!
We talked about it and I have decided that the Lord must really want me in this study. Because with the amount of people in my church (3 full services every Sunday morning, at least 200 in every service) it is definitely a miracle that someone not only found it but thought to turn it in. Now I am super excited about the study and what I will learn during that time.
