Tonight was very emotional for me, as well as for Alyssa. A baby was just taken from her parents this afternoon. She is very medically fragile. There are few foster homes equipped to care for her in our county, and the only other place for her would be a hospital. I was faced with the decision of either sending this baby to a hospital, which is a horrible place for an infant to essentially live, or accepting her into care, which would mean Alyssa was moved to a new foster home, since she is not medically fragile and only requires a home with a foster parent who can sign. It broke my heart, but I had to make the only decision that made sense. Alyssa was moved to a new foster home, and "Madison" was brought into my care. This is so heartbreaking, but I know it was the right decision for everyone. These are the moments I hate being a foster parent. Not being able to help them all kills me. It's times like these that I have to lean so heavily on God that I just relinquish all control. Otherwise I just fall apart, and I absolutely canNOT do that, for Avery, Madison, and Olivia's sake. Thank-you for listening, ladies, I just needed to get that out...

Lots and lots of for you!!

Praying for Alyssa, that she will adjust well to her new home.

Praying for Madison. What a HUGE blessing you are to her, that you are willing and able to give her the care that she needs in a loving home. Every child deserves that.

Praying for all the children that will come in and out of your life in the months and years to come.

Praying for you! You are such a strong woman. God has blessed you with an incredible heart. I pray that he will also give you peace and comfort when you need it.

Anna's posts are always so eloquent. LOL I echo what she has posted here!

What a heartbreaking, hard decision. Hugs to you and prayers for peace for both your family and Alyssa as she adjusts in a new setting as well.
