Can you tell from my random asortment of smilies that I'm feeling a little overwhelmed right now?

After 24 days in the hospital fighting a severe bacterial infection in both lungs, my sweet girl is finally back home where she belongs!!

I've wanted to post this update all day but we haven't exactly fallen into much of a routine yet. I can't get much more than a few minutes at a time on the computer and I wanted to catch up with all your posts first.

My posting will probably still be sporatic for a while as Ellie continues to heal.
She needs breathing treatments every 2-3 hours around the clock and she's on oxygen which I'm still getting used to handling without help from the nurses. (Yes, I convinced the doctors to let us do this. Not at all regretting that decision, but still...)
And she's still not eating much. I can sometimes get her to eat a whole meal (a whole "Ellie sized" meal that is) but it's still a work in progress. She's lost 4lbs and completely fallen off the growth chart for weight. Her doctors are concerned by this. I'm trying hard not to be. I have enough to worry about.

As far as walking and talking and everything else....she's regressed A LOT. I was told to expect this. It makes sense with how sick she's been. But it's still hard to see after all the progress she's made this year. I'm praying she'll make up for it soon.

I've said this before, but I'm going to say it again. We are so grateful for all your prayers. Thank you sincerely.
