A couple of the other boards I frequent do chat threads each month and I thought we might benefit from it. It can be a place for prayer requests and praise reports, but it can also be a place for everyday chit chatting.

So, how is everyone doing this month? Any plans so far?

A chat is a great idea! I'd love one. Thanks for asking! Guess we just need to decide a day and time that would work for most of us? Maybe a poll?

Feb is crazy so far, as was January before it, but I'll post about all that separately. Not anything specific, just... busy with two toddlers! But good. God is good all the time.

How are YOU?

I'm good! I meant to get on last night but ended up having trouble with our taxes. I got all of it done except the part about my school tuition, etc. I couldn't figure out where to put what from my 1098-t and couldn't find an answer anywhere. I ended up getting so frustrated I just went to bed.

I think a chat is a good idea too...I'm doing fine I guess. One minute I'm super happy and energetic, and the next I'm stressed and worried about something...

Ugh I woke up yesterday morning with some kind of flu like/cold nastiness. I felt horrible. Last night I took an epsom salt bath (to help with the soreness), covered myself in vicks, drank some peppermint tea, and used some vicks nasal spray. I don't know which helped but I woke up at 4 feeling a lot better. Too bad I went back to sleep because now I am stopped up again-ugh.

How is everyone's weeks going? Ours is going pretty darn good over here, I've just been super tired all the time trying to kick this cold.

Sounds like several of us are fighting the ickies - either with sickness, or with emotions or something going on in life, etc. Looks like we need a prayer chain or something! Maybe God is going to do something cool in here.

Amazinglove - is everything okay? Dealing with pregnancy hormones or is it more than that? Please feel free to vent! :hugs:

I just found out a friend is moving back to town! Excited!!

I think a prayer chain sounds like a great idea! I'm over the nasty coughing/runny nose part of the sickness but I am still exhausted and run down. Hopefully that stops soon.

I had the ickies yesterday too. Hadn't had much sleep the past 2 nights and I just was wiped out yesterday and didn't feel good. (We didn't even do school. I called a silent reading day. LOL)

We have the prayer partners, and - don't we usually do a prayer request thread each week? I know we do one for praises...

I'll think some this afternoon about how we can implement prayer for this room, this group of women, as a whole.

That sounds great! Prayer partners are great, but mine hasn't checked in at all this month so far. I think I will post a reminder about prayer partners (if you don't mind), just to remind everyone that they are up there.

Never mind, I just checked out the prayer partners thread and my partner did check in, earlier today. I just didn't see it before posting...oops!

Sorry for being sick Meagan. Hope you are feeling better. I am too trying to get rid of this tickling annoying cough after having sore throat for days.

I didnt post a weekly praise thread this week, DaLynn and I used to occasionally post weekly prayer threads but havent in a while. Sorry I have left you hosting by yourself. Its not that I dont have time to host nor didnt want to host anymore. I love hosting but its just not fair to lead a Christian group if I am struggling with my faith. I see it like hypocrisy, IMO and trust me it was hard making this decision.

So is anyone going to apply to be a co-host??

I applied, we will see how it goes. It's one of those things that I figure if the Lord wants me in a leadership position he will put me in it

I am feeling a lot better today, maybe it has to do with coffee lol.

Hi everyone Sorry I've been MIA for so long! School started back up (I'm a teacher) and I'm also taking a class to get a raise. Then Avery got super sick and was in the hospital. She's home and doing better now. Still have a road ahead of us, but she'll be back to normal in no time The babies are doing well. Olivia has heart surgery at the end of this month, so I'm starting to stress about that. Just glad Avery's better in time. I got a new letter from Maliyah, that was wonderful. For the first time she called herself my daughter Can't wait to see her again!

Anyway, just wanted to update so no one thinks we dropped off the face of the earth! I'll try to get on with updates more often!

I'm glad Avery is back home! I will be praying for both her full recovery and Olivia's surgery.

Have I ever told you how awesome I think it is that you adopt? I would love to adopt some day but Dh won't even consider it. I think it is great that their are people like you who are willing to not only take care of, but love kids that others might find 'not ideal'. It seems everyone wants the 'perfect' baby with no medical problems or emotional baggage. I love hearing about people who are not only willing to adopt older kids but kids who also might have medical conditions. Big hugs and prayers going up to y'all!

How is everyone's Valentines Day? So far so good here, nothing too exciting but the kids are having fun and dancing. We might go out to eat for dinner but I'm not sure.

I had a good valentines. Got the kids goodies and they had a special dessert for them.

I made dinner for DH, something he has been wanting me to try so I did. And made our dessert for two. nice to share.

We had a pretty good Valentines day here, although I didn't get my present until Saturday Dh surprised me with dinner on Tuesday night. My gift came on Friday though, after two years of being married I actually got an engagement ring . It was meant to be a surprise but I ruined it last weekend. He did pick it out himself though and did a wonderful job.
