Hi ladies. I used to post here a long time ago. Actually, I was one of the hosts for a while, but life got complicated and I was not dealing so well with recurrent miscarriages, so I took an extended break from JM. I've been back for a while, and for some reason I hadn't made it back down to this group.

My name is Stephanie. I am 32. I'm the wife to Pastor Matt and the mom to Sierra (14) and Will (11). My husband is a fill-in minister with our church and we are the youth directors as well. After talking to several of the parents of our youth, we began home-schooling this past year and have loved every minute of it. I am a full time college student, and I am getting ready to start a women's ministry at our church as well. I am nervous about it because I have never been the one to be in charge or lead anything, but I cannot ignore the call I am feeling.

Anyway, I am looking forward to getting to know you all!

Hi Stephanie. I'm so glad you came back.

I'm Audrey. I'm also a soon-to-be pastor's wife. My husband Justin is just starting seminary. We've been married for 10 years this month and we have 2 kids. Mercy Jane is 4 and Nathaniel is 2. We're also expecting twins. I just started homeschooling Mercy for Kindergarten a couple of weeks ago and we are loving it so far.

I feel like I haven't been on this board very long but it's a really good group and I'm glad I'm here. Can't wait to get to know you better.

I love seeing other homeschooling families! I always wanted to do it, but my ex-husband was opposed to the idea and I didn't fight him. Ultimately a bullying issue sent me to the upper levels of management of the local public school, and when I was ignored on every level, I followed my heart, withdrew my children and started homeschooling. My only regret is that I didn't do this years ago!

Nice to see you here again Stephanie! I'm also glad to see that you are homeschooling as we might be pursuing that in the near future for our oldest and I could use all the advice I can get. He should start Kindergarten in a year and I just don't know what to do. We love the idea of public school, and I majored and credentialed (is that a word? haha) in Elementary Education so I know I'm capable of at least getting him through 8th grade Lot's of prayer surrounding this issue this coming year for us.
