YAY for thanksgiving!! I LOVE to eat turkey (and of course all the pies) and look forward to Thanksgiving!
When in TX we usually get together with all our family (or what's left of it) and have a fun day together.
But since married we would go to the Thanksgiving dinner at church and have a fun day there. But, last year DH's side of the family met at Mimi's cafe and had Thanksgiving dinner which his grandparents bough for everyone. It was nice to be with all of DH's side of the family but dinner at a restaurant is SOO different from home-cooked meal and spending all day with family and friends. Not sure if DH's side of family will do that again or not.

I love Thanksgiving! We always have Thanksgiving at our house. We cook most of the food. My mom brings over a few of the side dishes that she makes at her house (which is 1 minute away, lol). My brother is vegetarian so we have to all be sure there is enough yummy side dishes to go around since he doesn't eat turkey. We make so much yummy food and desserts between us.
Trisha--proud stay at home mommy and wife.
We used to always go to my parents house for Thanksgiving or they would come down here and we would have dinner at one of Rick's siblings houses. But they've gotten older and it's harder for them to travel and it's harder and more expensive now for us to go to them so we haven't had a Thanksgiving together in several years.
Now it's always at our house. Rick's mom is always with us and usually at least one of his siblings and their families. We also always invite someone from the church or the girls school who we know doesn't have family around and we always leave a place at the table for the "unexpected guest" It's almost always filled by someone.
My MIL and I usually do all the cooking while the guys watch football. My girls like to help too. There's always a ton of food. I always make my cranberry relish that's a family recipe and my MIL always makes her famous stuffing. YUMMY!!
Oh.. and of course we always go around the table and share what we are thankful for. And the girls watch A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving. (I watch too. )
