Really I want my children to learn to love all people, be respectful, kind, loyal, humble, honest, and to serve God and others. I want them to learn the importance of doing tasks with excellence.
I struggle with where to rank obedience. Obviously I want my children to obey their parents, and the Lord. But I don't want to raise children who blindly follow and don't question anything they are told. I want my children to make up their own minds and discover Christ's love for them in their own personal way. I think often kids who are told what to believe and how they are to believe it often turn away from that as they get older because they don't have any real experience with it themselves.
To try and teach them about Christ and to love and fear Christ for their own. To not do drugs and things similar to that. To be respectful of others and to treat others as you'd like to be treated! When they get older I'd love to teach them about sexual relationships and try and help them be a virgin like DH and I were when we married.
