I ordered a blank cardboard calendar from amazon and it came in today! I was so excited that I got started right away. I cut all the scrapbook paper with the template that came with the calendar and then mod podged the paper to all the drawers and the top and sides of the calendar.

Then I printed off a list of verses and glued those onto colored construction paper. DD helped me put a Hershey Kiss in each drawer. I'm just waiting on everything to dry overnight before putting it back together.

I did it! I like to think I'm crafty but I'm not very good at it. All my crafts look very amateurish. I'm pretty impressed with my calendar and I even ordered another calendar so I can make one for SIL to give her for Christmas for my niece.
I will post pics tomorrow after everything is dry and I can't take pics right now b/c the girl is sleeping.

I'm still waiting on our Jesse Tree book to come in. And I ordered The True Night Before Christmas. It was $35 on amazon. I found it for $13 on scripturetruth. Win! I wanted this book b/c it's read in the same rhythm as T'was the Night Before Christmas.

ETA: the verses we are going to make a chain out of.

Very cute! We have the chocolate calendar too, I do not have the creativity to pull off some of the pretty advent calendars.

That is really cute! I love the idea Mine are too young to really get the idea yet, but if I ever get the time, this would be fun to do!
