Well, my brother called us on Thursday to tell us that he is definitely going back to Iraq in January or February. He leaves for more training in about 2 weeks and his sendoff is October 20th (his birthday is the 21st). He then goes somewhere (I think in TX) for training until January or February when he leaves. He is in the Oklahoma National Guard and is training for the Military Police. He has been to Iraq once before a few years ago right after the war broke out. He was only there that time for I think 4 months which is a very short time for a deployment. I'm thinking this one will be longer. He has a young wife who is very upset but he is ready to go, he says. Please pray for him and for his wife. Their names are Erick and Angela. We're hoping he will be able to get leave in December to come here for Christmas with our family. Please also pray that this will be able to happen. Thanks girls.
Stacey, I really feel for your family. We've just gone through a similar situation and it's such a scary and emotional time. Your brother and his wife, as well as the rest of your family, are in my prayers.
I am just seeing this now. You know I will be praying. I can't imagine what it is like to have someone you love over there. I thank God all the time he didn't call me to be a military wife. I couldn't handle not knowing what was going on, and missing my hubby. Ugh, I am praying for them. xoxo
