HI! So glad to find this area. Today I came in search of some advice on tithing...but what I have found is you ladies in this wonderful, caring, Christian environment. Isn't God good??

My name is Rebecca. I am married to Dan and I have two little boys. Bryce is by a former marriage...a time in my life where faith was just the last thing I had! Bryce is 8 and the absolute light of my life. God doesn't make children by mistake and I know that if nothing else came from my marriage, Bryce did! God blessed me so much with my son. Dan and I also have a son together. Scotty is 4. Currently, we are deciding whether to add the the brood or let two be enough. Prayerfully, I am still seeking the answer to that.

We are Christian, of course. I was raised Baptist. My husband was raised without religion. I went through a time in my life where my faith was all but gone and I considered myself agnostic. I had no idea what I believed anymore. Then, when I divorced my ex (who was athiest and more than likely had dragged me down with him), I began to see God's truth again. In 2003, when I was pregnant with Scotty and Dan and I had gotten married, Dan began reading the Bible on his own. We began attending church together, as a family and Dan was saved. I rededicated my life to God and was baptized in the church at the same time as my husband. My oldest son was saved and baptized when he was 6 years old. He talked with the pastor first and the pastor told me that he was impressed with my son's understanding of faith at such a young age and he thought it was okay for Bryce to commit his life at such a young age. And through my son, so many times, I have seen God through the eyes of a child. It has increased my faith by so much!

Now we attend a First Christian church which is very similar to the Baptist church in many ways. We are so very happy there and are trying to be as active in the church as possible!

I can't wait to meet and get to know you other great ladies of Christ.

God Bless!

Gosh - two of the three of you are pregnant! And one with a new baby! My goodness! What is in the water here on this board. LOL My dh and I have been thinking of a 3rd, but right now, we are so on the fence. Someone suggested we not try/not prevent, but with my record of getting pregnant in 1 try (not one MONTH, one TIME), that may not be the best solution! LOL

Congrats to all three of you and prayers for happy healthy pregnancies and babies!

We're good and school is still going well. Eathan just blows my mind with the things he can pick up on. We're still TTC. We've been trying since August and then I ended up with a horrible UTI and took a 2 month break and now we're back at it. If it takes too long we're just going to go with the two we have as enough b/c TTC is taking a toll on me emotionally. It's soo hard! I sometimes wish I was fertile Myrtle like you where it only took one time. It took 12 mos with Garrett. I'm going on cycle 5 of trying and nothing. I just don't want to have my boys "grown" out of the baby stage and then have to start all over with a newborn. *shrugs* IDK this TTC just makes me

I totally understand. Not because I have been there, but I have lots of friends who have just literally gone out of their minds while TTC'ing. My best friend was like me and got pg easily with #1, but #2, 9 years later, was tough for her. I may not be fertile myrtle now if I tried. IDK. Dan and I are back to thinking of it again. If I get pg this year, I will have a newborn, a 5 y/o and a 9y/o. Worse than that, 4 years from now, I would have a 4 y/o, a 9 y/o and a 13 y/o. Just thinking of that makes my head hurt! LOL

Best of luck to you...and know that while it is frustrating, it will all happen in God's own time. Who knows why He does it the way He does it, but we can rest assured it is for our own good! My fingers are crossed for you though!

Welcome to the CP Board, Rebecca. I'm Tammy, Married to Brice for almost 14 years. We have Elizabeth Anne who will be 5 in May and Victoria Rose just turned 1 in December. We are currently on the Not Trying Not Preventing. With Elizabeth it took us 3 months to get pregnant, with Victoria it was almost 2 years. We are hoping for another one soon, but it's in God's hands at this stage.
