She is here!!! Born on the 26th at 4:27am.. she was 8lbs 14oz and 19 3/4 inches long. BIG!
I was not able to get an epidural.. and let's just say, I don't recommend having that big of a baby, face first... with NO drugs. It is NOT fun...
She is SOO worth it! She is SUCH a good baby and so content. She is a tad jaundiced.. but they are okay with it because she is eating, pooping etc just fine.
Also, they failed to tell me that I had GD until Tuesday morning. So, she had dangerously low blood sugar at birth. They had to monitor it closely and kept me 48hrs to be sure all was clear. She is fine, thankfully.. but we were just TWO points away from the NICU. Let's just say, we are filing a complaint about that..
We are home and somewhat adjusting. We just got home yesterday... our first night was good. She is a VERY good baby.. rarely cries... I couldn't be more blessed.
I probably wont be around much. I am SUPER tired...... as you can imagine... and I am in quite a bit of pain still.
Yay!! Congrats!!! She sounds wonderful! The 26th is my sister Megan's birthday! I am sorry you didn't get to get your epidural. If you aren't prepared for a delivery without it I am sure it is hard. I would DEFINITELY be filing a complaint about the GD. That is something that can be monitored and controlled and should not be allowed to get to the severity of possibly going to the NICU. How Scary!
Glad things went well though and can't wait for you to be up and back in action!
